This online course uses the dominant cinematic form of the age, superhero movies, to introduce participants to the three act structure. Love them or loathe them, superhero movies are one of the most popular genres, if not the most popular genre at the moment. This course will help writers see how at least part of that success can be attributed to how faithful these movies are to the classic three-act structure. And then invite them to learn from these movies to help their own writing. Over three weeks, writers will learn how the three act structure is a superstructure that they can hang scenes, acts, shorts, features, episodes, and series on, using examples from superhero movies. By the end of the course, writers will be ready to start writing scripts using the tools and techniques presented. Use discount code EARLYBIRD if you book before the end of February for £10 discount.
